The early 20th century witnessed two of the most significant conflicts in modern history occurring simultaneously: World War I (1914-1918) that devastated Europe and redrew the global political map, and the Mexican Revolution (1910-1920) that transformed Mexico's social and political structure through a decade of civil war and revolutionary upheaval.
