Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, was never far from controversy. One of his most notable eccentricities was his pet chimpanzee, Bubbles. Jackson adopted Bubbles from a Texas research facility in the 1980s and treated him more like a son than a pet. Bubbles even had his own crib in Jackson's bedroom. However, as Bubbles grew older and more aggressive, he was moved to an animal sanctuary. Jackson's relationship with Bubbles underscores the emotional bond that can form between humans and exotic pets, as well as the ethical considerations of keeping such animals.
