Dolphins are known for their intelligence and playful nature, but they also display remarkable bravery. There are numerous accounts of dolphins saving human lives at sea. They've been known to guide lost swimmers back to shore and even protect them from sharks. In 2004, a group of dolphins encircled a group of swimmers in New Zealand to protect them from a great white shark, showcasing not only their bravery but also their empathy towards other species.
