Steering the Giant Panda Away from Extinction
Habitat Restoration and Protection

Habitat loss is one of the most significant threats to the giant panda. To combat this, several initiatives have been launched to restore and protect the panda's natural habitat. This includes reforestation efforts and the establishment of nature reserves. The Chinese government has been particularly proactive in this regard, creating over 50 panda reserves that cover more than 3.8 million acres.
